Blood borne Pathogens

Course Description

In healthcare, the opportunity exists to be exposed to blood borne pathogens. The goal of this class is to teach students to recognize signs and symptoms, to be aware of high risk activities, and how to handle an exposure. The class is 4 hours in duration. Successful completion of this class fulfills the blood borne pathogens requirement set forth by KBEMS for both EMT's and Paramedics.
