First Responder
Course Description
First Responders are trained to assess and treat patients at the basic level.
They are the first level of National Certification by the National
Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians,
As a First Responder, you will be able to assess individuals and
treat life threatening injuries until more advanced providers
arrive. Methods used by the first responder to assess and
treat individuals in need range from taking blood pressures,
providing comfort measures, to full body immobilization to prevent further injury.
Course Length
Approximately 2 Weeks
Course Audience
This course is designed for individuals that are part of an
Industrial Medical Response Team or are Volunteer Firefighters.
