First Responder

Course Description

First Responders are trained to assess and treat patients at the basic level.  They are the first level of National Certification by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians,

As a First Responder, you will be able to assess individuals and treat life threatening injuries until more advanced providers arrive.  Methods used by the first responder to assess and treat individuals in needs range from taking blood pressures, comfort measures, and full immobilization to prevent further injury.

Course Audience

The course is designed for individuals that are part of Industrial Medical Response Teams or Volunteer Firefighters.
