Advanced Emergency Medical Technician

Course Description

The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (A-EMT) is the intermediary step between EMT-B and Paramedic. 

A-EMTs have a more expanded scope of practice then that of an EMT-B.  This expanded scope includes the use of advanced airways, IV administration, and limited drug administration.

Course Length

Approximately 6 months

Course Audience

Currently Certified EMT-Bs that want to increase their scope of practice.
